brittany & robbie are engaged!

there is such thing as a ‘natural’ in front of the lens but i’ve very seldom met one of these lucky few. for most of us, there are a few nerves involved in having our picture made- a few nerves and more than a few uncomfortable giggles- at least that’s what i do in front of the lens! for this reason we like to get to know our clients, hang out without a camera at least once and exchange emails from time to time. it just helps everyone involved feel more comfortable!

but there are always times when that’s not possible- like with brittany & robbie- and the first time we meet with them is when we’re shooting! luckily they were ready to rock the shoot even before we arrived so it was no problem at all that this was our first meeting! robbie made it clear from the beginning that he was doing this for brittany and was up for whatever we wanted to try. he wanted it to be perfect for her and listening to that we knew right then that their chemistry was not going to be hard to capture!

we wandered around the park wedging them between vines and boulders, mixing them with weeds, tucking them under bridges not to mention doing all of this with brittany’s adorable heels! they are an amazing couple- kinda quiet and very sweet- and it seemed not to matter the situation they were in, they were just happy to be in this together. like i said, just adorable. we’re sad not to be shooting their wedding but we are so excited that we were able to squeeze in a day shoot for them before their save the dates go out! so here are a few of our faves but there are lots more too- can’t wait to see which one they choose!

Shot 1,3, and the last are just fantastic, I didn’t realize they were all b & w before I started typing this. I’m a sucker for monochrome.

you guys are TOO NICE, seriously!… *tracy, we of course do a decent bit of post on all of our images, but we didn’t do anything special to get the flare temp- with the sun that low in the sky it’s all naturale’! sometimes though we might boost the contract over just the flare to have it pop. hope that helps!
